PT Classics had the pleasure of restoring this Series 3 E-Type. The customer requested collection of their recent purchase and the below work was carried out:

Complete strip down of vehicle to bare shell
Sent bare shell for soda blast with doors, boot and bonnet
After soda blasted, vehicle was painted in 2Pack Epoxy primer
Replaced right side bulk head, kick panel and repaired driver’s floor pan
Built up shell on jig, installed doors, bonnet, boot, adjusted and set gaps
Painted vehicle in Gunmetal Grey
Completely rebuilt engine with new pistons, liners, bearings, gaskets and seals
Converted engine to XJS fuel injection
Rebuilt automatic transmission
Stripped, powder coated, rebuilt rear suspension, subframe and parts
Built up vehicle with all rebuilt parts
Upgraded front brakes
Retrimmed vehicle interior in Jaguar Old Red leather
Replaced hood with Mohair top
Replaced radiator with aluminium and uprated fans
Installed Tourino wheels
Replaced steering wheel with Nardi part
Carried out extensive road testing
